My week in Photo’s, Week 4

This week was kicked off with a long weekend, who doesn’t love that! We spent our Saturday afternoon on a friends farm saying goodbye to our dear Mary Ann who I mentioned in last weeks post as having past after an arduous battle with cancer. Family and friends got together and celebrated over food on their picturesque farm. I had a second crack at my Strawberry Jam Recipe to take along.

Isn’t it just heaven?.

The rest of our week has been spent focusing on the house. Kristen has spent hours working in the yard with our never ending weeds and shed extension plans. He also has plans to remove the current skate ramp in our yard and have a proper skate bowl installed which will free up some more of the backyard. But my landscaping plans for now have to wait.

My project this week has been the master bedroom, laundry, bathroom and toilet

We have a gallery wall happening in the master bedroom that I intend to work on some more today, I have to sort through our art and re paint frames. Some of the placement needs tweaking as I very rarely measure where I hang things and go off visual accuracy instead. But still no skirting board installed. Although we did finally measure up the laundry for cupboards and a makeover.

We rewarded ourselves for finally selecting tiles for our kitchen splash back and bathroom floors. (A bucket of wings and refreshingly spiked drinks does the trick) So grown up!

We now have my dream bathtub, I can’t wait until it is installed! The feet are eagle claws grabbing the globe and it is the most perfect emerald green, i’m a little in love. I can now go ahead and work out how our bathroom is going to be layed out as I am going to knock out a big linen press that is no longer needed once we have adequate storage in the laundry.

Scout helped me bake this perfect chocolate cake, look at those floured ears! I Die!

And I talked about learning to use your sewing machine and what basic skills I think are important to get you sewing.

But most of all I just enjoyed being at home all together when it did happen. Kristen starts a new job this week having been offered a position which will allow him to have more time at home with us and more time for him to work on the projects he has in progress. I think he is a little excited.

I hope to share some before and after of our renovations soon. I hope everyone (us included) has another productive week.

Thanks for reading, Nadia. xx
