We all have them, those awful weeks where you feel flat, unmotivated and exhausted. This past week was one of those weeks for me, and sometimes it’s hard to see what I love about everyday and I feel less willing to blog. When these weeks happen I seek solace in the fact that at the end of the day I am at home with my husband, puppies and guinea pig and try not to feel too guilty about neglecting the blog. These four beings make up my world and as long as we are at home together at the end of the day thats all that matters.
Nontheless it was not all bad, we kicked of last weekend with a big family day taking the hounds out after a lazy sleep in. We cruised in the ranch to the dog beach at Currumbin where they actually swam without needing coaxing, finished off by sunset fish and chips on a giant rug at Burleigh hill. Their poor little legs were well and truly worn out.
Sunday was a big redneck meat cook up to celebrate two friends birthdays. My contribution was a never fail pavlova and a big batch of triple choc brownies.
I cut out and started sewing a gorgeous dress for my niece from the most retro Michael Miller fabric.
I finally am the owner of the Erstwilder Barney the Basset brooch which I have been pining after for years.
Seymour and Scout seemed to have come up with a new game which was rather entertaining to watch
And this artwork placed in our future nursery was a steadfast reminder for me that sometimes indeed a little curse word does help.
So here’s to a new week. I’ve organised myself for the week ahead, my paperwork is done, my house is clean and my kitchen is full of wonderful fresh produce. Hubby is on his way home and I’m going to make crispy chicken soft taco’s and apple strudel. Together, puppies and guinea and all we will delve into season two of Game of Thrones.
Goodnight and thanks for reading, Nadia. xx
